2023 Annual Conference of the Architectural Institute of Japan (Kinki) Papers Published

2023.9.15

We have submitted a paper at the 2023 Annual Conference of the Architectural Institute of Japan.

From the viewpoint of façade engineering, we have been focusing on research and development activities in the exterior area.
With the aim of widely disseminating our research results to society, we are actively publicizing them by presenting them at the annual conference of the Architectural Institute of Japan and submitting them to the Technical Report Collection of the Architectural Institute of Japan.

▼What is the Cold Vent Glass Construction Method?
The cold-vented glass method is a method of constructing curtain walls with three-dimensional curved surfaces by forcibly deforming flat glass at the time of factory fabrication or on-site installation and installing it in sash frames and the like. This method has been attracting attention in recent years because it is cost-effective and has a low environmental impact, as it does not require the use of curved glass to construct curved surfaces.

Reproduction analysis was conducted for the full-scale destructive experiment conducted in the previous year’s conference report.
The experimental results were compared with the analytical results to verify the validity of the analytical model.

▼What is the Architectural Institute of Japan?
The Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) was established in 1886 with the aim of promoting the progress and development of the science, technology, and art of architecture. AIJ is a Japanese academic society established in 1886.
