To make “From start to finish” a reality —— Holding internal lectures on the environment

On July 18, 2025, we invited TBM Co., Ltd. as a lecturer to give an internal lecture on the environment at our company-wide event, “VISION SHARING (VS)”.

We had a wide-ranging discussion on topics such as the classification of CO₂ emissions into Scope 1, 2, and 3, decarbonization trends in the construction industry, changes in requests from business partners and government agencies, and perspectives required for product selection and information disclosure.

AGB began operating “ScopeX”, a cloud-based calculation tool it provides, in December 2024 with the aim of visualizing CO₂ emissions. Currently, the company is preparing to establish a company-wide system while continuing to operate the tool on a trial basis, refining the actual calculation methods and aggregation rules. This presentation was positioned as part of a basic educational initiative to share the background of these efforts within the company and encourage each employee to reconsider what environmental impact is and how it relates to their daily work.

Design, procurement, construction, management. — Every stage of the building lifecycle is related to CO₂ emissions. In this sense, for AGB, which is involved in facades from start to finish, addressing environmental issues is an unavoidable theme.

The lecture touched on not only emissions associated with energy use and transportation at the site, but also emissions related to the selection of procured goods and materials and the entire product life cycle (Scope 3), providing an opportunity to deepen understanding of the need for initiatives that go beyond the scope of the company alone.

Going forward, AGB will continue to focus on the intersection of theory and practice, gradually fostering understanding and responses to environmental issues.
