Our CATIA case study was featured in CAD Japan

2026.9.14

A case study on Asahi Building Wall Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “AGB”)’s use of “3DEXPERIENCE CATIA” has been featured on “CAD Japan,” an information website for CAD and design professionals operated by Otsuka Shokai Co., Ltd.

Using a facade renovation project featuring curved surfaces as a case study, the article introduces a design methodology that leverages CATIA’s parametric design and template functions. It highlights an initiative in which 3D models of louvers and panels with varying shapes were created, and approximately 1,900 3D models and 2D drawings were generated in a short period of time while accommodating design changes.

The article also highlighted our front-end engineering initiatives—which involve design, requirements definition, and risk analysis from the early stages of a project—as well as AGB’s facade engineering, which uses digital technology to integrate design, manufacturing, and construction.

At AGB, we will continue to leverage digital technology to advance technical development and refine our business processes in order to realize increasingly complex and sophisticated facades.
